AI Risk, Governance and Data Protection
This course is the specialist companion to ARIA Compass Foundation: AI Literacy for Bid Professionals. Where the foundation course equips every member of a bid team with the AI literacy required under Article 4 of the EU AI Act, this course equips the people accountable for operating the governance system with the depth they need to do so correctly.
It covers four areas in full: the Article 9 continuous risk management system obligation; the complete Article 26 deployer obligations framework including monitoring, logging, harm reporting, cooperation with authorities, and fundamental rights impact assessment; the general-purpose AI model obligations relevant to bid teams using Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, and equivalent tools; and the full interaction between UK GDPR and the EU AI Act in the bid preparation context including lawful basis, data subject rights, automated processing obligations, data protection impact assessments, and the processor and controller questions that arise when using third-party AI tools.
